The new Crossroads building project added to the beauty of the stadium. There were many upgrades including the stands. The bleachers were wider and more comfortable. They still don’t have a back but still way more comfortable than before.
You can feel the history as you walk through the stadium. Such a unique place. The stadium tour was awesome.
In all honesty, I grew up with great dislike for Notre Dame, its football team, and everything associated with it. After a terrific day there for a football game, my opinion is completely different. First off, the stadium and its surroundings are beautiful - nothing short of it. Everything there is first class. The only things nicer than the stadium are the people. The fans and the people working in the stadium are very gracious and friendly and do all they can to make sure the visiting fans are comfortable and happy with their visit. I know some die hards were not happy with how accommodating some season-ticket holders were, but that says nothing for the overall experience. If it weren't so far away, I would certainly come back again for another game or another weekend.
What can I say. Made the voyage to South bend. The way they blend the old with the new is awesome. The ultimate place to see a game.
One of the great shrines of college football. My first visit was in the 2017 season, and the addition and renovation seems to have maintained the stadium's integrity. Notre Dame is home to the classiest football fans en masse I've ever been around; they have a respect for their team and the game that sets a standard.
